Alarms Network Monitoring for SNCF Normandy

The SNCF (French Railways) telecommunications agency for the Rouen region monitors alarms used in telecommunications systems in the Normandy railway network.

The SNCF chose the SORIDIS solution to manage its alarm monitoring system and trigger maintenance operations.

SORIDIS provided an innovative solution that would facilitate alarm acquisition network changeover to an IP-based system. The solution provided an interface between specific existing systems and ensured migration to equipment using standard protocols such as MODBUS and SNMP.

Our solution (for alarm monitoring and staff call-out) was implemented in early 2009.

For this project, SORIDIS supplies the software and the necessary adaptations for the migration of the existing acquisition network to an IP-based solution.

The monitoring facility consists of a central server and seven remote stations used for text mode (Web interface) or graphic mode monitoring in the different telecoms network monitoring and maintenance sites for the Normandy Region SNCF.
